THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN Guitarist WEINMAN; Video Footage Of NYC 'Improv Session' Available
October 25, 2008Video footage of THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN guitarist Ben Weinman's August 13, 2008 "improv session" at The Stone in New York City can be viewed at this location.
Ben Weinman recently told UK's Rock Sound magazine that he did a remix of the LIL WAYNE track "Lollipop" but that he is "not sure if it is coming out." He added, "That beat got so played and remixed so his record label did not want to put out mine and it get lost. They are actually going to send me the JAY Z/LIL WAYNE track way upfront so I should be one of the first remixes of that track, hopefully. They want LIL WAYNE to get rock press, he loves rock, Kurt Cobain is his favorite artist. He loves to play guitar but he is horrible at it, another part of the deal is that I teach him how to play guitar.''
THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN's 1998 album "Under the Running Board" was reissued on October 14 via Relapse. The new CD includes the entire Steve Evetts-produced effort as well as 10 bonus tracks.
"Under the Running Board" featured the contributions of singer Dimitri Minakakis who left the group afer the release of 1999's "Calculating Infinity".
